Welcome Reception

The city of Copenhagen invites the participants of SCR 2023 to a welcome reception at the Copenhagen City Hall where the famous City Hall Pancakes will be served.

Participation is free of charge but registration is mandatory. (fully booked!)

Congress Dinner

Date: Friday 25th August
Time: 18.30
Venue: Restaurant Grøften, Tivoli Gardens, Vesterbrogade 3 (Within walking distance from congress venue)

The congress dinner will take place in the beautiful Tivoli Gardens situated in the very centre of Copenhagen. You are welcome to enter the garden before the dinner and take a walk on your own. The venue of the dinner is one of Tivoli’s most traditional Danish Restaurants “Grøften” close to the main entrance. Remember your badge to get in to Tivoli Gardens.

After dinner, the beautiful gardens are available for your own pleasure. There will be live concert in the Park at 22.00.

Tours

Canal Boat Tour incl. Wine & Snacks

Date: Thursday 24th August
Time: 18:00 – 19:30
Meetingplace: Tivoli Hotel lobby

Board the canal boat for a guided tour around the canals of Copenhagen.

The guide will tell you about the beautiful churches, castles, old listed houses, modern buildings and all other sights of interest. This boat sightseeing tour departs from a pier near the congress venue and includes 2 glasses of wine & snacks. When the tour is done, you can choose to get off at a pier in the center of Copenhagen or you can join the boat tour back to the pier by the congress hotel.

Copenhagen Running Tour (5km) & Harbor Swim

Date: Friday 25th August
Time: 06:45 – 07:15 (or 7:15 if you only participate in the harbor swim)
Meetingplace: Tivoli Hotel lobby

Lars Juul will be the guide on this morning run. The tour will depart from the congress venue.
Participants are required to bring their own swimsuits. We will have a few towels by the Habour pool.

Price: Free
Registration: not required, just show up.

Christiania Tour: Get off the beaten track
Followed by optional dinner

Date: Saturday 26th August
Time: 14:30-17:00
Meetingplace: Tivoli Hotel lobby

Discover one of the most interesting communities and alternative districts in the world: Christiania
Join the guided tour walking around Christiania where you will learn the history and see the quirky buildings and experience the special atmosphere.
After the tour you can join for a meal at Morgenstedet. Morgenstedet is located in Christiania and serve organic, vegetarian dishes full of flavour.

(Pre-booking of meal required during registration to be guaranteed a seat).
Please note that this tour has limited space.
Meeting point: we walk from the lobby in the Tivoli Hotel at 14.30. It is a half hour walk to Christiania.
